MFJ-564 Deluxe Iambic Chrome paddles Posted on Sunday, 11/4/2007
The MFJ-564 chrome Iambic paddle, an inexpensive copy of the Bencher BY-1, but by far not a replacement. The BY-1 has a positive tactical feel that the 564 is missing, and an audiable "click" that is also a good feedback tool when working CW. I bought one for the going price of $70 for my first Iambic key due to budget restraints. However, I ended up selling it for cheap on ebay and getting a used Bencher BY-1 key for the same price as a new 564. I am much happer now and suggest to anyone to save up for a good key. This would not be my reccomended key to anyone, beginner or experienced.
