RogerTango.com - MFJ-461 Morse Code decoder
MFJ-461 Morse Code decoder
Posted on Sunday, 11/4/2007

A nifty concept, but… it falls short of working really well under multiple QSO conditions. It must be properly aligned for the Khz tone of the morse code being heard, and the audio gain has to be just right. If there is a single CW QSO tuned on the rig (perfect conditions) and it is tuned for the aligned tone, it works, works pretty good. However under real operating conditions, the device is a waste of money. I use a software program called CWDecoderXP which puts the MFJ-461 to shame. Save your money, this is one item not worth having.
